Terms
Effective
The community and this website
The High Groove is operated by Cory Mott in South Carolina, United States. It provides community racing information, account tools and competition administration. Availability is shown on the relevant registration page.
These terms cover use of our website and connected community services. Published league and series rules govern participation in the relevant competition and are presented separately for acceptance. The Privacy Policy explains our handling of personal information; it is not a blanket consent to optional processing.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13. Guardian authorization is required only where applicable law requires it, including any applicable requirement to enter an agreement. We do not impose additional guardian approval on every member under 18. An iRacing or Discord account is not proof that every requirement for using this website has been met.
Provide accurate account and eligibility information, use your own authorized identities, protect your password and recovery methods, and report suspected account misuse promptly. Do not share credentials, impersonate others or bypass account restrictions.
Participation and conduct
Follow the published rules for your league and series. Do not harass others, interfere with the service, manipulate eligibility or results, upload malicious files, or attempt unauthorized access. Any competition decision or review process is governed by the relevant published rules.
Staff may restrict access to investigate misuse or enforce the rules. We will explain decisions where appropriate, subject to security and privacy limitations. An account restriction does not prevent you from making a privacy request.
Entry fees
Entry fees are intended to cover community costs. Before accepting a fee, the league will publish the amount, what it covers, the registration and payment deadlines, and any event-specific terms.
If the league cancels an event or season without providing a replacement, we will refund the entry fee paid for that event or season in full. If you withdraw before the published registration deadline, we will refund your entry fee in full. Withdrawals after that deadline are reviewed individually; contact the league team to request a review.
Payment services have their own terms. Mandatory consumer rights continue to apply; these terms do not remove them. Any separate iRacing subscription or content cost is your responsibility and is not included unless expressly stated.
Where paid-entry capacity needs review, we assess the specific member, residence, season and fee. The outcome may confirm that the member can authorize the entry themselves or require guardian authorization where the applicable rule requires it. This review does not waive cancellation, refund or other rights that apply to young members.
Profiles, artwork and results
Only submit profile text, images and artwork that you have permission to use. You retain ownership of your content and give us permission to host, resize and display it as needed for the features you use, subject to applicable privacy choices and rights.
Competition records may be corrected through the published review process. A privacy request does not automatically change a race score; where appropriate, identifying information can be removed while preserving the sporting record.
Third-party services and availability
Discord, iRacing and external payment services operate independently and have their own terms. The High Groove is not endorsed by those services merely because it connects to them. Availability may depend on their systems as well as ours.
Maintenance and outages can interrupt access. We will take reasonable steps to operate and protect the service, but do not promise uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Questions and changes
Use the Support link for competition or account questions and privacy@mail.thehighgroove.com for privacy matters. A privacy request does not require joining Discord.
Changes to these terms will be dated and communicated appropriately. Material participation changes will be presented through the relevant acceptance process. Updating a webpage does not retroactively remove an existing statutory right or an agreed refund entitlement.
